Zachary Brown, bass-baritone, is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music (M.M.) and Simpson College (B.A.). He is currently based in New York City. Brown anticipated the kickoff of his professional career when in January 2020 he performed the Imperial Commissioner (Madama Butterfly) with the Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre. There was a minor hiccup following this assignment; however, things are rolling once again!

Brown is a student of Mark Oswald and Bruce Brown. Significant contributors to his development include Melody Clutter, Robert Larsen, Paul Houghtaling, Daniel Kleinknecht, Brian Banion, and Cory Battey. He is represented by Kathy Olsen, founder of Encompass Arts.

Brown is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and an enthusiastic reader and writer.
